Simple baked ravioli
Ravioli are a type of pasta that originated in Italy and served as a traditional food here. The pasta contains a filling enveloped in thin pasta dough. The filling of ravioli may vary from area to area. After cooked, ravioli will be served with broth or sauce. Let try a simple recipe with the popular ravioli: baked cheese ravioli.

Fill a medium saucepan with ½ of water and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once the water reaches a boil, add ravioli into the pot and cook for 3 minutes. Once done, remove the cooked ravioli by a slot spoon, drain and let cool for 5 – 10 minutes.

Place breadcrumbs, salt, Italian seasoning and grated cheese in a shallow bowl/ dish and mix well. Beat eggs in another bowl and set aside.

Preheat the oven to 220oC (425oF). Prepare a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Working in batches, 4 ravioli per batch: dip the ravioli into the beaten eggs and flip them over to coat well in the egg mixture. Then remove the ravioli to the breadcrumbs mixture, flip them a few times until coated well then place onto the prepared baking sheet. Repeat the process to the remaining ravioli.

Lightly spray the ravioli with olive oil or cooking oil and bake for 15 minutes.

Remove the ravioli onto plate and serve warm with favorite dipping sauce.
