Limoncello
Limocello is a popular after-dinner digestivo that served and enjoyed in different countries of the world. This Italian drink is made by steeping the lemon zest in rectified spirit then combining the steeped liquid with a simple syrup before serving. This lemon liqueur is simple to make that you can prepare at home to enjoy after meal.

1 (750 ml) bottle
of vodka or grain alcohol
3 cups
water
1 1/2 cups
granulated sugar

Peel the lemon, removing the white pith if any, to get the zest only.

Add the lemon zest together with the vodka/ grain alcohol into an airtight container and leave for 2 – 4 weeks to steep.

Once ready, combine water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring well to dissolve the sugar. Remove the pan from heat and let the syrup cool down completely.

Add the syrup into the alcohol mixture, mix well and leave in the fridge overnight.

Strain the mixture and pour the liquid into bottle/ container to store.
