Labor inducing cookies
Labor inducing cookies are flavorful cookies that said to induce the labor. The fact about this is still not clear, but you should try them for their amazing taste. Perhaps the spiciness in those little ones can create a kick, at least to your tongue.

plain flour
1 + ½ teaspoons
baking soda

cinnamon
1 teaspoon
ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon
ground cloves

salt

cayenne pepper

butter
½ cup + 2 tbsp
granulated sugar

light brown sugar

molasses

Preheat the oven to 180oC (350oF). Prepare a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, salt and cayenne pepper and set aside.

Beat butter with ½ cup granulated sugar and 1 cup light brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until pale and creamy. Then add egg white and molasses into the bowl and mix to combine well.

Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet one and mix until combined to form a dough (don’t over mix).

Roll the dough into 2.5 cm (1 inch) balls. Scatter the remaining sugar onto a tray or surface then roll the balls over.

Place the balls onto the prepared baking sheet about 5 cm (2 inch) apart. Press lightly to flatten the balls into cookie form. Bake the cookies for 12 – 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Transfer the cookies to a cooling rack to cool completely before serving or store in an airtight container.
