Candied pecans
Pecan is one of the most nutritional nut that used popularly in different cooking recipe as well as snack. If you find it’s boring to enjoy toasted pecans, let try to make candied pecans and keep them in an airtight container to serve. They are not only delicious when used as snack, topping, but also a perfect gift for friends or kids.

toasted pecans
2 tablespoons
butter
1/3 cup
granulated sugar
1/2 cup
brown sugar
1/3 cup
water
1/2 teaspoon
salt
1/2 teaspoon
ground cinnamon

vanilla extract

Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet, over medium-low heat. Add the pecans to cook for 4 – 5 minutes, stir occasionally. Then remove them from heat.

Melt the other 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet, over medium heat. Add the remaining ingredients into the skillet. When the sugar begins to melt, lower the heat, cook until the mixture begins to bubble.

Add the pecans into the bubbled mixture, cook for 3 minutes, stir frequently. Meanwhile, prepare a large tray lined with parchment paper.

After 3 minutes of cooking, remove the pecans from heat and transfer them to the prepared lined tray, spread them out. Let the pecans cool down completely.

Once the pecans are cool, break them apart and enjoy, or keep them in an airtight container for later serving.
