Aburaage
Aburaage is a Japanese food product made from deep twice-fried tofu. This dish can be served with rice, used as a vegetarian dish, or enjoyed as you like. Here is a homemade aburaage recipe that you can make easily at home without buying it from the store.

Firm tofu (cut into 1-cm thick slices)

Use a thick towel to wrap the tofu and leave it overnight.

Heat oil in a large pan. Add the tofu while the oil is lukewarm, and fry for 5 minutes. Once the surface of the tofu is frothy, reduce the heat. Flip the tofu and fry for another 10 minutes until plump up.

Flip each tofu one more time. Increase the heat to high and fry the tofu until golden brown. Transfer the aburaage to a plate lined with a paper towel to drain before serving.
